Back again!

I know I haven't been on here in what seems like forever, but I don't understand why ALL of my pictures in my past posts have been deleted. Kind of frustrating. I'm not sure if I am going to try and go back and fix them all or not.

But- in other news- I'm going to be trying out Zibbet. It says that it has a free user level, so I will be giving it a go and adding some things to my shop shortly. Personally, I decided to give this a go because I'm a little frustrated with Etsy's lack of advertising. And while I have read that Zibbet requires even more self-promotion than Etsy, I figure that it's just yet another place to put my work, the more the merrier.

New things for my Etsy shop include:

A soft and fuzzy crochet baby size blanket:

A little needle felted turtle that has beady eyes:

And a set of needle felted hearts that have cute white dots across them:

So since I will need to be doing more self-promoting, I will be trying to keep up with this blog again :)

Well then!

I haven't posted in a bit... I'm a bad blogger, what can I say. I have hopes and set goals to post regularly, and then they slip away. I haven't completely forgotten about posting, so I'll do a quick summary of what's been going on :)

Biggest news: I've been learning to crochet! If you want to learn too, I highly suggest this online crochet school. It's very well put together and I was able to learn very quickly! It's exciting and fun :D

Crafty Minx's Crochet School Link

I have a whole bunch of Valentine's needle felted hearts up on the shop now:

There's plenty of pink and purple ones also :)

I also put up a couple spring/easter type of items also, so take a look around while you're there!

The First Christmas Item!

Here's the very first Christmas item that I have put into my shop:

Seems he put on a few in the off-season this year, and he'd like to just hang out with you for the holidays instead of traveling the world this Christmas Eve. He sits about 3 inches tall, and has tiny little antlers. I used just a little bit of glitter fiber for his nose, so it's just the slightest bit sparkly!

I wanted to also let everyone know that pretty much any of my needle felted items can be made into Christmas tree ornaments. I can add a little embroidery floss loop to hang them with for no extra charge! Get your cute needle felted fix over the holidays by having them as ornaments. And after the holidays if you love them too much to pack them back up, but don't want the hangers left on them, you can just snip the floss and they can reside on your shelf or desk year round!

There will be plenty more holiday creations to choose from soon. Including some red and green acorns!

Get ready for Christmas!

If you're looking for a fun way to count down the days to Christmas, check out my mom's Etsy shop!

Santa Advent Calendars

They're fun and easy to use for you or your children! Santa is painted on nice sturdy poster board, and each day is written on a piece of double sided tape. All you do is peel off the number for the day it is and then stick a cotton ball to it to count down to Christmas! It comes with all the cotton balls needed, and even a nice little ribbon to hang it up with.

You could use it two different way too:

Start at 1 and go by the calendar to count up to the 25th,
or start at the 25th and count down to 1 showing how many days until Christmas!

You choose which way to celebrate and have fun using it :D

They make a great early gift too!

Acorns And More Acorns

So I know it's been a little bit since I last posted. I've had a lot going on, some good things, some... not so good. But I'm back now and I've got acorns and acorns and acorns to show you lol! There will probably be even more acorns in a few more days :)

Here's a set of rainbow acorns:

And here's a nice set of fall themed acorns:

And I put up a set of white wintery acorns just today:

I'm sure there will be a couple more sets of acorns to come. Probably a blue set, and maybe a pink one Valentines, and possibly a spring colors set in the future. They're fun to make, and I think they look really cute with a real acorn top glued to them. It adds a fun natural look to.... anything! Put them in a jar, a dish, or just on a table or shelf.

Fall and Halloween Continued

Here's some more of the fall and halloween line for this year:

We have some fun needle felted acorns in fall colors:

And some needle felted candy corn:

It's even the same size as the candy! Be careful that you don't get them confused with the real thing, lol!

We also have some new regular items...

Including some fun stars in solid colors:

And this set of needle felted hearts in shades of purple:

There may be a few Thanksgiving things coming up in the near future, and then it's onto..... *gasp* Christmas. I know, it seems early for Christmas, but seeing as listings last for 4 months, and some people get going early on figuring out new decorations, or might even be using some items for crafts, gotta get going asap!

A wonderful landscape piece, Purple Mountains:
